My Roles
As product manager of Andalas, I defined the product vision, conducted market research, set product strategy, and goals, worked with cross-functional teams to develop the product, and pitched the product to target customers.
I also played a critical role in measuring the product's success, making data-driven decisions to improve the product, and ensuring the product aligns with the overall business strategy.
The Product
Andalas is a web-based application that provides a guide to cultural festivals, cultural events, and regional traditional rituals in real-time and makes it easier for people to get to know the local culture.
Origin Story
Initiated in the context of a startup idea competition in the field of culture held by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) Republic of Indonesia. This idea has reached 2nd place in the regional stage.
Andalas is initiated and designed by Ambyar, which is an acronym for Anak Muda Berbudaya dan Berkarya, a group of young people who equate the vision to take advantage of local cultural events as a form of devotion to the promotion of culture through the 2020 Youth Cultural Camp competition. Every second of the effort made becomes a struggle for optimizing our cultural promotion activities of us. Every website visit from visitors as your step to get to know the local culture is our fuel for more enthusiasm to continue to grow and develop at least one step every day.
Andalas run with these mission baseline:
1. Prospective tourists can find out the local cultural background and details of west Sumatra's local cultural agenda activities
2. An increase in the number of visits to cultural festivals, cultural events, and regional customary rituals in West Sumatra
3. Sanggar/community/cultural activists can promote and increase user awareness Andalas related to West Sumatra cultural activities
4. Connecting sanggar/community/cultural activists with cultural enthusiasts who want to know more about a particular local culture
5. Increasing knowledge and interest from the general public regarding local culture and cultural event agendas in West Sumatra
